ABOARD A US MILITARY AIRCRAFT — Beneath the duvet of predawn hours, Secretary of Protection James Mattis disembarked a 20-hour flight from the Heart East at Andrews Air Drive Base and headed instantly to the Pentagon.
It used to be the morning of his 68th birthday and by means of all accounts it used to be simply any other day’s paintings for the Secretary, who maintains a challenging agenda.
Previous within the week, Mattis and his team of workers started a five-day commute with stops in San Diego, New Delhi, Kabul and Abu Dhabi. He would clock greater than 22,000 flight miles and 42 hours aboard planes, helicopters, and load airplane. His days, regardless of leaping between a couple of time zones, started at four a.m. and have been full of engagements.
